One of my favorite bionicle. I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first because I wasn't sure I would enjoy this one too much, but after putting it together it seems it is much more cooler in person, even becoming one of my favorite bionicles I own. The best part? He gives hugs!! Lol the way you can mechanically move his arms looks like he's giving a hug, but he's also able to totally bash a bionicles mask off too. This was another excellently designed bionicle that makes me wish Lego can keep making more. Thanks for the great work Lego!

Skull Basher is by far my favorite of the new villain sets, with a gorgeous color scheme (Medium Lilac, Trans. Bright Bluish Violet, and Trans. Fluor. Reddish Orange), a wonderfully imposing symmetrical build, and one of the most novel functions I've ever seen in the Bionicle theme. He eschews the typical gearbox in favor of a complex function block built from Technic and System parts. When complete, the button on his back can activate two distinct functions—by moving it from side to side, Basher swings his arms independently, while pushing the button forward swings both arms forward in a “bashing" motion that earns him his name. A small piece of corrugated pipe provides suspension that returns his arms to their original positions, though they do tend to wobble from side to side a bit. Skull Basher also features two gigantic horns, which, being attached to his eyestalk, can be hit to send his mask flying.

Honestly, Basher is a really fun villain. He feels very complete, and has an unusual but unique attack that departs from the gearbox, adding a little variety to the BIONICLE 2015 sets. The color scheme and build go very well, and I'd highly recommend getting Basher if you're looking for a less price-y summer set.

It really pains me to say this, but this set just misses the mark. Lego absolutely gets a gold star for trying out an alternative set function, but the rest of the set is fairly lacklustre.

Whereas the previous Skull villains made a point to acknowledge BIONICLE's roots by iterating upon the features previously seen, Basher instead goes for something completely different. However, he keeps the spirit of the functions purpose, and manages to provide a fun new take on the playing feature. Combined with a well-armored look (although perhaps not as "skeletal" as some of the others), Skull Basher is a must-have for those looking for a worthy opponent to the mighty Onua.

Basher has a cool function, albeit one that can cause floppy arms. And while the long horn design is cool, i have knocked his mask off more than I would have liked already. His color scheme is great and he does have a fairly bulky build, so if the thinness of skeletons is a turn off for you, this might be the villain for you. Personally, I rate him slightly lower than Warrior and Slicer, mostly because I like the unique look of Slicer and the weapons of Warrior more, but I definitely would recommend considering this guy up if you are grabbing some of the villains.
