This is a fun set that allows kids to combine construction play with recreating scenes from THE LEGO MOVIE 2.
This is a very good lego set. the emmet is very great. the alien invader is great also. i love the gas station. very good, old look. the thricicle is very good. i love the three wheels. over all, GREAT JOB LEGO!!!
Purchased this set for my Lego Movie 2 loving 4 year old twins. They love Emmet and it's hard to find a set with him in it at this price range. So this was perfect! It was a little more difficult for my 4 year olds and they did need a bit of help with the smaller pieces. But that was expected due to the age range on the box.
I am disappointed by this set. I had high hopes for it for its unique design, but I don't think it's a good set. The Thricycle looks fine but the Duplo Invader and the sidebuild aren't that great. The inclusion of just one Emmet minifigure is also quite bad, the playability isn't good (due to how the Thricycle topples and the lame catapult feature), and the price is just okay.
At just £12.99, 70823 Emmet's Thricycle! is a set in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part theme worth picking up. It is not the most intriguing of the bunch, but it is a fun little build that showcases Emmet nicely.
This is a pretty odd set, in one way it's nice and cheap plus has a trio of builds and characters. But it's a crazy looking thing, with limited play features and an unfortunate use of stickers, on pieces which could easily been printed. I've seen people moaning the set doesn't stand up on it's own, but I can definitely say it does, admittedly a slight breeze will have it over, but it will stand up freely. Despite the stickers I love the little Octan petrol pump and the DUPLO alien is a nice addition, but would I liked it more if it was made of DUPLO elements.
70823 Emmet's Thricycle is an enjoyable set, albeit one which does not necessarily stand out across the entire theme. The vehicle is delightfully unconventional and I appreciate the rolling function which connects the tyres. Furthermore, the Octan petrol pump is attractive and its retro design represents a pleasing change from similar previous models.
