This LEGO Set was fun and challenging for my 5 year old son. He is a little above average on the LEGO building skills though. Once the priced dropped, I decided to cave in and buy the set. For $50 ish dollars it is a good value for the money. For average builders, I would say it is more fitting for ages 7 and up.
The interior light doesn't seem to light anything up even though I can see a red dot showing its on. Hard to believe a new toy needs a new battery already.
The Pop-Up Party Bus has so many fun details, like the Lego light brick as well as a flip-up disco ball with translucent-colored elements, but what we love the most is that it only took our master builder about two hours to build this Pop-Up Party Bus.
A really cool set if you like Disco and the 70's... Or if you like good Lego sets, cool parts and cool colors!
It's easy to give this set a 4/5 Star (Highly Recommended) rating since it contains a lot of new parts and colors for a competitive price, whimsical transformer-like play features, and interesting building techniques.
I think this set is quite a good set, but I am personally not a huge fan of it. The build is good and I like the play features, be it the transformation stage feature or the disco lights. However, I think the minifigure selection is quite weak for a set at this price point, and i don't really like the overall color scheme of the build. I don't know – I just don't really like it, but I do think many people will!
Not since the UFO sets in the 1990s have I seen such a good light show put on by a LEGO set!
