Emmet's Dream House/Rescue Rocket is a dream 2-in-1 set for LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part fans and LEGO fans alike. Featuring three minifigures, including the exclusive Asteroid Breaker Rex Dangervest minifigure, and the buildable Planty and Unikitty figures, the characters are a huge plus. The house build for this set is superb, with an eating room, a living room, and the dangerous “kitty room". As for the outside accessories, they help recreate the ambiance of the Apocalypseburg world from the first segment of the movie. The rescue rocket build is very thought-through and in my opinion, utterly amazing. From the push-missiles, to the cockpit with enough room for two characters, to the secret compartment in the roof, this version of the set is chock-full of interesting features. And when the time comes for Emmet to navigate the asteroid field, Asteroid Breaker Rex can swoop in for the rescue with his cool jetpack, complete with lightning exhaust flames. As for value vs. price, I would say that this is the best value for the price that I have ever seen in any LEGO set ever, for this house/rocket it not just a facade, but it is the real, awesome deal. Happy building!

Was originally going to skip this set, but after seeing the movie I really wanted it. Very glad it includes the warrior kitty room with sleeping warrior kitty. The interior is quaint. Includes portraits of Emmet, Lucy and Unikitty. These are stickers you need to apply to flat tiles. The TV is also a sticker being applied to a flat tile. The "E+L 4 EVA" sign is a printed piece, so that is cool!I do wish they had scaled it slightly bigger. Firstly, for more play room in the interior. Secondly, (and even more important) it is a real miss not having the double-decker porch swing!! Even at this size, It seems like they could have extended the porch a bit to include that.I also found the building of the junk to use up extra pieces to be a bit weird. The build was easy and fun. I prefer to build buildings and let the kids build vehicles. So, it was nice to have a set I could work on myself.

Both options are fun builds, and I really enjoyed putting it together, pulling it apart and rebuilding it into its secondary form. It features heavily in the trailer for TLM2, and as such is relatable, even without seeing the film. If pressed, I think I prefer the Rescue Rocket variation, from both the build and display perspective.

The Emmet, Lucy and Rex Dangervest minifigures can play in the Dreamhouse, or you can rebuild the house into the Rescue Rocket. This two-in-one buildable toy is great for the LEGO fan who loves assembly.

I started out being annoyed by the set and then slightly angry by the totally unnecessary pieces built alongside the Dream House part of the built. These really do feel as if a handful of elements have been thrown together. I understand these parts are needed to create the Rocket Ship, but they could have been incorporated into the main build a little better or I'd rather they were simply left over. I reluctantly rebuilt the Dream House into the alternate built and my annoyance of the set has waned a little, but of all The LEGO Movie 2 sets I've built these is my least favourite.
