This seems like a great 14.99 set. There really isn't much to the Batman throne and you're really only getting 2 minifigures. 19.99 seems a little steep. I was perfectly happy with getting it on sale for $16.The "You're Welcome" sign is a print and not a sticker which is a great bonus! This is a great Batman figure. As far as I know, so far this is the only way to get this new version of Batman (aside from the HUGE Apolocalypseburg set). I'm sure that will change with upcoming sets.Metalbeard was cooler than expected. His legs are very unsturdy though, so he does not stand well during play. You can get him posed with a little work. we've even been able to fit a couple other figures in his crow's nest! But, honestly, we've been having more fun with the Mini Master Building polybag version (30528)

Battle-Ready Batman and MetalBeard is a good set to have, even at full price. While the value of this set is not phenomenal, it is also not that bad all things considered. The build is also good, and the MetalBeard character is really nicely designed. You get two main characters from the movie in this kit, but Batman is really the pièce-de-resistance for me.

First of all this set is great for the minifigures than the builds. The first figure you get is Apocalypse-Burg Batman which looks really nice. I have the Welcome to Apocalypse-Burg set which also includes another slightly better Batman but I know everyone can't buy that big set so this was another great set to put him in. You also get a Maddox figure which is supposed to be a citizen which looks great. Lastly you get a Star figure and who doesn't want another small character that was so cute in the movie? For Batman you get a throne that features a "Your Welcome" sign feature to it. Lastly you get a MetalBeard Crab Mech which looks fine. I kind of feel bad for MetalBeard because of all the parts he has for his body and it just looks sad to look at. Overall this set isn't the best out of the whole wave but it serves it's purpose as a small $20 and thats the perfect price because the set is mostly for the minifigures expecially Batman!

I think this is one of the weakest sets in the LEGO Movie 2 lineup. The builds are very unimpressive and the minifigure selection is fairly mediocre (apart from Batman, but a better version of him exists). The price is also on the high side, especially in the U.S., and there isn't much playability to be had in this set if you ask me.

As its name indicates, the characters are undoubtedly the focus of 70836 Battle-Ready Batman and MetalBeard. In that respect, this is an outstanding set as the new Batman minifigure looks absolutely tremendous and MetalBeard is impressive too, although the original design from 70807 MetalBeard's Duel remains my personal favourite.

This does not feel quite like the best value set in The LEGO Movie 2 theme, but the Metalbeard is extremely well executed and worth owning. Getting this Batman minifigure is a must too, so while it may not be the first set to pick up, it should be on any LEGO movie collector's wishlist.

Although another smaller set from The LEGO Movie 2 range, it does have some fun features. The Bat-throne is a little underwhelming, but it's more than made up for with the great new Batman minifigure. I'm also surprised how much I like MetalBeard. As mentioned, I really expected it to be a random mash-up of part than results in a iffy unstable build. But it's totally opposite, only thing I'd would of liked to have seen would be some sort of studded surface within the Crow's Nest, so you could place Maddox in there a little more stably. The larger-scale MetalBeard set from The LEGO Movie sets, was a great build and one I still have on display, although the crab-mech MetalBeard isn't has impressive, it's still a great version of the character.
