I grabbed this for my son, who, like me, is a huge Lego fan.I'm a space freak too, so this was right in my wheelhouse. I love anything with versions of the space shuttle. We both love the huge builds, 4000+ pieces, but sometimes you just want something smaller, to fill in time without monopolizing days and days or knowing you're going to be stepping around Lego pieces for a week. The size of this is perfect for those "fill in" moments. But it's not so small that it feels like a waste of time and no challenge.Finished product is pretty sturdy, and will hold up to play fairly well compared to some of the other shuttle builds we've done.Got it on sale, which made it even more attractive for us.
I love this set. I was excited when pictures were leaked back in 2017 and couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I bought one to build and another to keep in the box. This is by far one of the coolest Batman "rides" to date. The only issue is the price. 643 pieces for $79.99... that comes to 12 cents per piece which is higher than average. I must admit, however, if the set were $99 I would still have bought it. Hopefully we'll see a Bat-train soon :)
For anyone wanting to play out favorite moments from The LEGO Batman Movie, this set will be a lot of fun. You can build part of the Batcave, dress Dick Grayson up as Robin, and send Batman into space for all sorts of superhero rescue missions. This will inspire a lot of imaginative play for LEGO and Batman fans.

I think this set is nice, but not as good as it should have been. The Bat-Space Shuttle looks good but the playability of the set is quite low for its size. The minifigure selection is not bad, with the three awesome Batsuits, but the three other “regular" minifigures are not very good. The price is decent enough I think, with the large molded elements in the shuttle likely costing more than the usual.
