Umarak was an interesting character to me to begin with. He was a worthy antagonist of the Netflix series, and I have to admit, it was hard to watch him (or his silhouette) go in the final episode. I wont spoil any more. Lego has taken a cool villain from the story-line, and made him exceptional. The build is very imposing, and his torso reminds me of the skeleton warriors from last year. Unlike the previous hero factory 2.0, this set is not skinny on the back.I also love the Achilles tendons! The skeletal frame is nicely concealed, and the unity piece is a good touch. the animals on his back all look amazing, but I still think he looks best with either uxar or ketar. As for the weapons, the bow is the perfect balance. not overly complicated, like titan mata nui's weapon, but not to simple either, like Gali's. It even has extra ammo on the knee. As for the sword/mask remover, It is, well, not the most exceptional. I had to ad a peg just for umarak to hold it! Anyway, the skull spider Is easy to build, and when you take off his armor for it, Umarak still looks imposing. I love both masks, but I am a big fan of the mask of control. they both fit perfectly, and best of all, I can attach the mask of control to my earth protector to make makuta! Happy building! Toaguy *WARNING UMARAK'S ANTLERS ALSO GO UP WHEN YOU POP OFF HIS MASK!

This character was an amazing build for my son. The articulated parts made for a fun experience after he finished the build. The character is very detailed and just like the animated series. My son is very picky about details and when he received this character, he was very excited and couldn't wait to start building it. Just make sure to follow he directions, some of the pieces are designed to lock into place and cannot be removed if inserted incorrectly. I let my 5 year old son do most of the building, but helped out here and there for some parts that required a little more attention to detail or finesse.

I'm extremely satisfied with 71310. The set has a lot going for it aesthetically, has a cool, idiosyncratic character, packs a bunch of quality parts and play features, and fits nicely into - actually, charts fun new territory in - the Gen 2 BIONICLE world. There are a few points of the design that could've been improved in my opinion, but in the face of all the good things Umarak brings to the table, I'm more than happy to overlook them. I'd definitely recommend this set.

Umarak is awesome, and my favorite figure of the wave. He looks great, he poses well, he has a lot of weapons, functions, and is a great size for being a $20 figure.

This is a good set. Some of the villains last year were a little bland, but Umarak already has a lot of character just from looking at him. He's got a bow and a sword, his armour can be used to make a Shadow Trap, and his eyes give off an aura of pure evil. And he's got antlers! When has Bionicle ever had antlers?!

Coming off of last year's intriguing but ultimately underwhelming antagonists, Umarak whelms and then some. There's a rigidity in some parts, and you can see they they were hobbled by the price point in certain unarmored areas, but none of it actively works against him. Between his ability to merge with the six (six!) creatures, the subtle inclusion of an actual shadow trap, and the exquisitely designed masks, Umarak is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the new year. Those looking for a villain will have exactly what they want, and those just looking for something to toy around with by himself have all sorts of interesting secrets to uncover.

Ultimately, despite a few minor flaws, Umarak definitely fulfills his role as a major new foe for the Toa and creatures. While the mixed sizes and price points of modern Bionicle sets renders the old classification of “Titan" sets (figures that were larger and more expensive than the lower-priced “canister sets") less useful or specific than it used to be, Umarak is definitely the first new villain Bionicle has had that really comes close, with a huge, complex build that stands taller than even the largest of this year's Toa.
