So, Storm beast. Pretty cool toy, I'll go over the pros and cons first. Pros: -Neat design -It's gimmick is fun to use -TAIIIIIIIIIIIL Cons: -Exposed sockets -The "crystals" on the arms leave too much of it feeling open -The gimmick has to be placed just right for the arms to look natural. -The legs are... odd so, Storm Beast is a great toy, but before we finish, the other item included with the set is a 2016 Kopaka mask, with Trans Neon-green at the top. while we don't know what this is for, exactly, it's a neat piece.

Similar to Quake Beast, Storm beast here brings in a really interesting construction for his function. He's got a great color scheme and a decent amount of new and recolored parts. Personally, though, he's my least favorite of the Beasts. He doesn't look as well armored or filled out, the tail is a bit strange and even harder to hold a mask in than Quake beast, and the complete lack of friction in the arm moving mechanism is a little frustrating when it come to poseability.

Storm Beast is my favorite of the three summer monsters. He has an awesome play feature and a build that I enjoyed, even if the overall design has some room for improvement. He also has a couple of nice parts, although probably not enough to buy him just for that. If you like to play with your toys or check out cool Technic techniques, you should definitely pick up Storm Beast. For everyone else - I'd suggest waiting for a sale or for the Earth Blue shells to come out in other sets.

Storm Beast definitely brings a lot to the table, a chaotic hodgepodge of different ideas and features. Not everything is perfect; the same things that drag down the other Beasts aren't something he can magically make work, and the majority of the inventiveness seems to have gone into the swinging arms function. But it's a heck of a function regardless, and considering the cohesiveness of his overall look, he's definitely a set worth getting for the experience.

I've seen a lot of negativity about these Beast sets. This seems to be a bit of a trend with Bionicle, which tends to get more weird and experimental with its monstrous villains at the expense of the solid, well-covered builds typical for more heroic sets. Ultimately, however, I do enjoy these sets for what they are. They have very unique looks and functions, which, while not all consistently effective, offer fantastic variety. As for their parts selection, while I do think last year's villain sets offered a better spread of new parts with slightly more versatility, these Beast sets still hold their own, including their fair share of interesting new molds and recolors as well as a few very useful rare parts. All in all, while I would not consider these sets as essential as the Creatures and Toa from earlier this year, they're still a great choice for constraction fans looking to expand their selection of parts, or Bionicle fans who want to bring their 2016 collection to completion.

While not the best set in the summer 2016 BIONICLE wave for me, I feel like it is the best of the Beasts in spite of all it's aesthetic flaws, as the uniqueness and sheer fun that the function provides just about edges out the model's drawbacks. Apart from the jaw, most of the flaws in the set can be ironed out quite easily if you're prepared to do a little modding.
