Since there are so many reviews on this set already, I'll try to keep it brief. The minifigure selection is great, as all the figures are main characters and exclusive. Yoda's Hut itself is a pretty substantial build, and looks great with Ahch To Island. There is a little firepit, and Yoda's death bed which is a nice inclusion. I like how it is kind of built into a tree, and the launching feature on top of it is really fun to play around with. One thing I have to note is that the olive green plant pieces fall off extremely easily, and I wish it included a seagull or two. Also, the price isn't the best. Still, this is a pretty good set but I wouldn't recommend it at full price. 9/10
In terms of overall cost, the price per brick for Yoda's Hut is a bit high, but not terribly so. You also get a good build-time value, so there's not too much to complain about in terms of price. The set is fun for both play and photography, and you get some good characters in it. The only thing I really didn't like about Yoda's Hut was the pointless swing-open sides. I really would have like a completely enclosed hut.
I think this set is decent. The minifigure selection is not bad on the whole, though I think the R2 minifigure is lacklustre. The hut itself has some nice details but I just don't like the tan color or how it's basically only half of a hut, so it does lose some marks for that. It's pretty fun to play with, though, and the price is decent – with a discount, it should be alright. Not a standout, but not a bad set either.
75208 Yoda's Hut tries to capture a couple of key scenes. It has a few glaring omissions, like the Vader cave scene. It would have been a neat feature to have it stuck to the side of the hut as a turntable reveal. And without an X-Wing like in 4502, it really is as economical as it can get. Its MSRP is at $30 and for that you get three unique minifigs, a key location from The Empire Strikes Back, and a couple of play features tacked onto said location. Those play features aren't exactly a big draw though. The set could have been released without them as just a hut and the same minifigs and it wouldn't really scored any lower.
75208 Yoda's Hut may not be entirely accurate when compared with the source material but it captures the essence of the location and includes a number of great functions. I am therefore very pleased with this set, contrary to my initial impression based upon official images alone. There is plenty of interior and exterior detail as well as numerous references to scenes in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
The set's numerous play features, unique minifigures, excellent selection of natural-colored pieces, and brief but satisfying build all contribute to a really fun set. 75208 Yoda's Hut is being sold at the same price point as the similarly themed 75200 Ahch-To Island Training, which includes 241 pieces and three minifigs. It feels particularly poignant that Luke Skywalker appears at the beginning and end of his life as a Jedi in two LEGO Star Wars sets at the same time. Neither set is a particularly great value as a pure parts pack, but all its great features make Yoda's Hut in particular a great addition to any LEGO Star Wars collection.
