Though this set looks a little weird while displaying it in a shelf, it is a HUGE upgrade from the 2014 model. I would highly recommend to collectors! Has neat play features also.

Overall, this set just feels… boring to me. The build is alright but it's quite small which is a little disappointing as the in-universe bombers are pretty large. Furthermore, the gunship has pretty lame play features – an opening cockpit and basic shooting features. The minifigure selection is also weak – two rehashed 2013-14 era minifigures and two new battle droids doesn't really stand out, making for an uninteresting set overall.

This is certainly my favourite rendition of the craft but it does not seem considerably better than 75042 Droid Gunship from 2014. I like the new 'cockpit' module and the external detail is superb, although an updated design feels unnecessary so soon after the last version was released. In addition, the price of £54.99 or $49.99 is far too expensive. On that basis, I would recommend this set to those who missed its predecessor but only with a significant discount.

As an update it certainly ticks a lot of boxes and fans of the Clone Wars era will no doubt love the improvements made on its predecessor, but the £54.99 price tag and simplistic build might be enough to put off the more casual LEGO Star Wars fan.
