In anticipation of the movie—The Rise of Skywalker, LEGO already has fun kits to build scenes. This kit comes with several figures including and especially Rey, the heroine. As expected with LEGO products, the kit comes with an easy to follow guide book and all the parts to create a fun rocket ship. My kids loved this set. They put it together and have been playing with it ever since. I love watching them play with LEGO. They are inspired and become so creative in their play. This set would make a great gift for any Star Wars fan, young or old.
When looking at this set online, I didn't think there was a lot to this set and was less than impressed by the £44.99 price point when it was missing Finn and Poe's speeder. But after receiving this as a gift and having built it, I was Pleasantly surprised. Rey's speeder is a substantial build that is a great display piece and fun to play around with, it has just enough detail on the platform and enough space to pose Rey and BB-8. The First Order speeder, was also very well done, it has just enough room to fit driver and passenger, and it is alot of fun to pretend to launch the jet trooper. If there is one criticism I have for this set, it is that you don't get both Rey's speeder and finn and Poe's. I understand that they couldn't possibly add Finn, Poe and C-3PO to the set and maintain the £44.99 price point. but why couldn't the hut build be removed, the other speeder added, with a Finn minifugure to drive it, that would add a bigger draw to the set and give collectors (like me) a cheaper set to get the finn minifigure in other than buying another millenium falcon. But as the set stands, I believe it to be a strong set with impressive exclusive figures, fantastic builds, and an awesome episode 9 Rey figure. I would definitely recommend this to others, but if you are unsure about the value, I would say that it definitely is worth it when fully built, the set is so much fun to play around with.
LEGO Star Wars fans will like collecting the new character minifigures and building ships and scenes from the new movie. Without having seen the movie, we can only speculate as to what's happening in each build/scene, but their release before the movie definitely raises the excitement factor for fans who want to know what's going to happen. These will be great sets for LEGO and Star Wars fans who want to recreate scenes from the movie and make up their own adventures in a galaxy far, far away.
75250 Pasaana Speeder Chase was reviewed in issue 63 of Blocks Magazine.
With stud-shooters and a variety of vehicles and minifigs from both sides, it's clear that this is a LEGO Star Wars set designed to facilitate conflict play (aka “role-play") by LEGO's core 6-12 demographic rather than something targeted at both kids and older builders or collectors. For those of us in the higher end of the “8+" range, it's hard not to deduct the components that feel like filler — the treadspeeder and junk shop — leaving just the red speeder seen in the first teaser trailer.
75250 Pasaana Speeder Chase focuses primarily upon new characters and vehicles from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker so should prove fairly popular. Those minifigures are definitely appealing and I like the transport speeder which includes fantastic detail, striking an ideal balance between innovation and familiarity in my opinion. Furthermore, the model offers wonderful play value.
It is fair to say that 75250 Pasaana Speeder Chase seems a little incomplete. The vehicles are well designed, but the lack of an engaging environment with only three minifigures included leaves something to be desired considering its price tag, which does not make the set one to skip, but does not make it the ‘first order' from The Rise of Skywalker wave.
