The Yoda set, on the other hand, is more of a display piece for fans. It does have some moving parts, but it's not very playable. It does make a nice addition to a Star Wars collection, though.

It looks kind of weird but it's still pretty cool to have a 16 inch Yoda. It's probably not really for amateur builders as much as Master Builders. People who don't do much Lego building would probably get frustrated with something with this many pieces.

Despite the picture on the box, 75255 Yoda really is an impressive model, falling short of excellence. Had the hands been posable like the head, with perhaps his cane included as an alternate accessory to the lightsaber, this model would have been a must-buy. As it is, this accurate rendition of the character, as he appears in the prequel trilogy, is well worth picking up but may require a few special modifications.

Befitting the exceptional popularity of this character, 75255 Yoda is an impressive set. Recreating his wrinkled skin must have been particularly challenging but I think this design looks marvellous and the shaping across the head appears similarly accurate. Moreover, the robe texturing has been executed beautifully in my opinion and seems quite natural, despite comprising angular bricks and plates.

A big nope from me. I can say with 100% certainty I've never been so bored building a LEGO set. Yes, the final model looks good, the layers of the robe are amazing and the head is perfect, it's just not fun getting here. I'm sick of plates. Writing this review of the set brought back all that boredom. I just can't make the build sound exciting. If you're a Star Wars collector who wants a nice display piece then be prepared to put the work in, otherwise I recommend you steer clear.
