I am very impressed with this new Imperial Dropship. I never had the 2008 original version, but now I wish I did! The shuttle itself is a neat little craft to use in a MOC or a battle, and it is completely unique to LEGO Star Wars. The dropping feature is a handy thing to have, and it's too bad this ship wasn't in a movie- it would've been killer in combat. The new duel molded Stormtrooper helmets are cool, but I still think I prefer the Rogue One troopers better. The Shadow Trooper is also very intimidating, and I might put a different pilot in the shuttle to see him more in battle. Plus, that 20th anniversary Han Solo minifigure is extremely cool to have, but sadly jacks the price up to $20. Luckily, I found this set at Target for $13 and bought two since it was such a good deal for the new style troopers, Shadow Troopers, and Han Solo. I'd recommend buying two or three to have some of these nice troopers if you find them on sale like me. Have fun and keep building!

On the whole, this set could have been FABULOUS. It could have been AMAZING. And, it almost is. The three regular stormtroopers and the one shadow stormtrooper included – while they do have the controversial new helmet design – are amazing inclusions, and the throwback Han minifigure is great to get too. The build is nothing amazing but it's still a nostalgic, special update and one can't expect too much from a battle pack build. HOWEVER, where the set fails is its price.

I feel this is an appropriate set to re-release, especially in the context of the stormtrooper helmet being re-released this year, with a new dual mould. It the shape of the helmet is going to change, you probably want to be able to pick up a few!

LEGO Star Wars 75262 Imperial Dropship – 20th Anniversary Edition is the least essential of the five sets in this commemorative range, revisiting a vehicle that was probably best forgotten. Those keen to own all five of the classic minifigures will be able to give though as the set is relatively inexpensive.

Even though the LEGO Star Wars Imperial Dropship – 20th Anniversary Edition (75262) isn't considered a “Battle Pack," I would certainly define it as one. This is currently the cheapest way to load up on the slightly updated Stormtroopers as well as the Shadow Trooper and the Dropship itself. The exclusive Han Solo minifigure is an added bonus to this Battle Pack. If you are using this set to build up your army, I would suggest that you wait for a discount first.

Stormtroopers are among the most popular characters for army building and 75262 Imperial Dropship - 20th Anniversary Edition offers an excellent selection. The updated Stormtrooper helmets may require some acclimatisation but I think they look marvellous when compared with the source material and the elite Shadow Trooper is similarly impressive.
