1968 Ford Mustang Fastback

My 9 year old son is a huge lego fan and I was looking for something a little different than the normal buildings and Star Wars legos that he has so many of. These little cars were like the old days of building model cars. So perfect! more less

Overall easy build. My son and I completed fairly quickly with no issues. Great for a beginner in my opinion. If you love Mustangs this is for you. We add a minor touch at the end! more less

My advice is to leave as many of the stickers out as humanly possible. Keep the 68 ones, and the gold racing stripes, but forgo any of the Speed Champions one. Unfortunately, the one with the LEGO logo on the bonnet is mandatory if you want to retain the stripes. Stickers aside, I highly recommend getting this car even if you're a casual automotive fan. It's one of the best Speed Champions cars yet in my opinion, and it's also quite affordable at the same time so it won't leave a huge dent in your bank account. more less

For a majority of the LEGO Speed Champions sets, stickers are used to enhance the detailing of the vehicles but there are some that do not need them and I feel that the 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback (75884) is one of those vehicles as you can see below. I have a feeling that a lot of fans will want to keep it pure and free of stickers. If there is a sticker that you probably want to add is the Mustang in the front of the car. If you do decide to add all the stickers, the car doesn't look too bad as this is one of the cars that isn't overwhelmed with them. more less

This is a competent and attractive addition to the Speed Champions lineup. It's dark green livery, far from being drab, makes it more appealing than an endless stream of red Ferraris. Unlike most SC cars, you could leave the stickers off of this one and it would still look great. You'd probably want to put the mustang symbol on the tile at the front, but other than that they are all largely superfluous. more less
