I love that these Legos come in numbered bags so they're much faster and easier to assemble. No tearing apart every single bag like in the regular Lego sets, just to find one tiny piece from the 7th bag. I believe I had this set together in about 30 minutes and my son loves playing with it.

Like other LEGO Scooby-Doo sets, this one lets Scooby fans recreate scenes from the animated series or create their own original mystery adventures. They can even pretend to unmask the Headless Horseman to reveal that it was actually Elwood Crane all along.
I'm a little bit underwhelmed for the LEGO Scooby-Doo Mystery Plane Adventures (75901). The Headless Horseman minifigure is top-notch and is the main reason for picking up this set. He is exclusive to this set and there will probably be demand for him. Shaggy and Scooby doesn't have much appeal since Shaggy is the same one in another set while Scooby has limited uses with the head piece. The plane itself is pretty simple but it does have play value with its swooshability and burger bombs. However, it's still a little small for the price of the set. There are some larger pieces on the plane which may warrent the price. I recommend that you pick up the Mystery Plane Adventures last out of all the LEGO Scooby-Doo sets unless you really want the Headless Horseman minifigure.
Ultimately, this sum of this set is less than the parts that make it up. Those sandwich bombs are ridiculous, but the sandwiches by themselves are awesome. Swap in a regular round tile and you have a great food piece (or leave the tile with a hole in it, so a minifig can grab it… I won't judge). Yet it's honestly the price and the fact that only the Headless Horseman, and Scooby's Head, are unique that hurt the set.
I am struggling to recommend this set as the plane is not particularly interesting but I absolutely love the Headless Horseman minifigure and for me that alone was almost worth the price. Scooby-Doo and Shaggy figures are available in other sets which are far better than this one, so their appeal is limited.
