My son and I had a fun time building this. Lots of nice little details. Cute minifigs. My son enjoyed hiding away the key and other details like that. He even started playing with the set before it was completely built.

Really, the best thing going for this set is the ability to complete your collection. It's hard to justify the cost, even with some very nice parts in the whole thing. It's an interesting set, but not interesting enough that you're going to want to leave it displayed on a shelf. If you're like me, you do the review, grab Velma and Daphne to put in your Mystery Machine, and part out the rest.

There is a huge amount of play value and the model looks superb from the front, with a lovely colour scheme and some offset building techniques which brilliantly represent the ramshackle nature of the building. The price of £69.99 or $89.99 seems very reasonable considering the number of minifigures and the piece count of 860 so I have no hesitation in recommending this set.
