Obviously, this set is not cheap. At AU $400, you'll need to save up a bit. What you get though, is marvellous. To be honest, I think that if TLG decided to release the set as just the dinosaur, I'd be happy with a cheaper price. The two builds separately are big enough for sets to their own. Combining them means an awesome build experience and a great looking display. This one will surely do well in the secondary markets, and it's worth getting now as well. To sum it up in a word, the dinosaur in particular is a masterclass.
This set is "AWESOME", To start with this set has 3120 pieces & comes with 6 characters from the movie (John Hammond, Ian Malcom, Ellie Sattler, Alen Grant, Ray Arnold & Dennis Nedry) as Lego Minifigures, plus a baby dinosaur figure, then you get the front gate which on the back side has scene references from the movie. The front gate also opens & closers. Then you get the T. Rex which is the best thing from the set in my opinion which is very articulated so you can pose it in many ways. Also comes with a nice stand & plaque to put your minifigs on. So if your a Jurassic Park or T.Rex fun i suggest you buy this set cause you won't be disappointed.
Based on my usual scoring method, T. rex Rampage only earns 83% overall. Sadly, this is because of the really poor brick-to-fig ratio. The set excels in all other categories. However, I do not really feel that 83% is representative of the awesomeness of this kit. Therefore, ignoring the brick-to-fig ratio, this set's Minifigure score would go up to 83%, and the overall score jumps to 93%. In conclusion, this is a great set, great value, and a must have for all Jurassic Park fans.

Both builds were very enjoyable but I liked the T. Rex build just a bit more even though there are similar building techniques throughout especially on the legs and tail.
It's almost a shame the T-Rex isn't a stand-alone set. If it were it could've been more affordable (could've even dropped the Jurassic World tag!) and more people would have the chance to build it. As it is this is a luxury set, at 8c (USD) per part it's not bad value, but still has a high price tag. This is a set you probably wouldn't want your kids to touch. Most of my LEGO is fair game to my kids, not this.
From the first time watching Jurassic Park, the scenes leading up to and then revealing the T-rex are standout in a film packed with iconic moments, scenes, characters and action. From building up anticipation to delivering with scale, noise and terror, the T-rex was the star of Jurassic Park, and all the spirit of awesome that Steve Spielberg and his team created in designing and filming it is wonderfully captured in 75936 Jurassic Park: T. rex Rampage.
The Tyrannosaurus Rex is a stunning sculpture and amazingly well engineered. It is without a doubt the best brick-built creature LEGO has ever made. It looks both terrific and terrifying, and its poseability and balance are remarkable. The gate is also very good model but not nearly as exciting. However, it's hard to deny that this wouldn't be much of a Jurassic Park set if it included only a T. rex, so the gate works well to tie this into the theme and provide a suitable backdrop for the dino.
75936 Jurassic Park: T. rex Rampage contains two impressive models, both of which look spectacular on display. The imposing Tyrannosaurus rex certainly captures the majesty of its onscreen counterpart and I am satisfied with its articulation, especially given the substantial weight of each limb. I appreciate the vignettes hidden inside the gate too, despite the absence of important minifigures.
The LEGO Group's intention to give us the hugest brick-built dinosaur in a set is successful. You get a massive organic build, which comes with good colours, useful parts and a lot of movability. I don't remember seeing a fan build in that scale with the same level of detail and stability.
