I'm not impressed with this set. It's well made, not a bad value, but I'm not interested in what they were going for. It recreates a toy train, but toy trains lack the depth of something like, say, The Emerald Night. As a result, this is not all that impressive to me. So, if you like Toy Story, this could well be a fantastic set, but, if you admire Toy Story, well, this may not convert you.

For months leading up to Christmas all my little boy asked Santa for was a "Woody Lego Train." This was a great Christmas Eve assembly, and has been played with non-stop in the month since Christmas. Though it often disintegrates when a boxcar is dropped, a little quick re-assembly of the durable legos has it back up and running. I also purchased extra track and the motor functions, and this is a little tricky to assemble into the gray box-car unit. There are several helpful youtube videos out there to walk you through the assembly though. You will need to scavenge a few pieces from other lego sets, but chances are if you buy this it will not be the only lego stuff you own. This video below is similar to the method I used, but I made a few modifications as I did not have the exact pieces he used. [...]
