War Machine Buster

Each of these sets has a lot of great details that fans of the new movie will really appreciate. Whether you're building these to keep out on display or you want to play out the action from the movie, there's going to be something here to please you. I liked this set. Lego seems to be keeping a healthy supply of Hulkbuster-esque builds, and this is my favorite so far. I like that it's not just a reiteration of the Iron Man version even though it is not accurate to the film. There is a decent range of motion for the small set, even though I would have prefered knee joints. I like the solution for the elbows. The solution to have the gun fit snugly over the shoulder was a nice touch by the designer. The figs are ok. Didn't really need more of these outriders. At least there is a nice shoulder pauldron on one. I'm happy to get another War Machine figure. I like his general aesthetic. Ant Man has a new helmet which is terrific. I wish Wasp had gotten this one in the previous sets. Overall would have preferred updates to their unique suits and not the quantum realm suits. Best part for me is the ingot parts in silver and gun metal grey. I love that. If this set goes on clearance I may pick up another just for parts. Good set for kids. Good set for adults. Some things could be better, but can't fault the designer for it. Grade A from me. more less

I think this set is quite good on the whole, but not amazing. The build is pretty great, though it loses a bit of the novelty due to the similarities with the 2018 Hulkbuster. The minifigure selection is fine, and playability is alright (it would have been good to get a side build for the Outriders so that War Machien could destroy it). The price is also a little bit high, as I personally find the build isn't that big to justify it. However, I still think this is a good set on the whole and I would recommend it. more less

76124 War Machine Buster is an outstanding addition to the expanding pantheon of LEGO Hulkbuster models. Its dark bluish grey colour scheme is distinctive and looks fantastic while the heavy armament which has become synonymous with War Machine has been integrated effectively. The rotating stud shooter is particularly appealing and provides superb play value. more less

For its purpose as a big mech ready to challenge Thanos and stand shoulder to shoulder with previous LEGO Hulkbusters, there's not a great deal to fault 76124 War Machine Buster on. The minifigures are pretty great too, particularly that new Ant-Man helmet. more less
