My daughter and I have assembled three of the new Lone Ranger sets so far, and they have all been fun and creative, and the mini figures have been unique and well designed. This set is no exception. The coach is multilayered with many moving parts for creative play or display, and the five figures are all distinctive, especially the female figure. If there was anything that I would have like to add to this set it would have been one more horse for the outlaws. Still, there was room on the coach to position a nice battle between the Lone Ranger and one robber. A great set, especially at amazon's price of 29.99!
So did the set meet my initial expectations? I'd say it did, and it passed with flying colors! It's not a perfect set, but it's certainly a great-valued purchase. If there's any set that a casual FOL would like to buy to 'try' or 'sample' this new Lone Ranger theme - I highly recommend this one.
Overall, this is a very nice set, with attractive design and plenty of value added. There's some great parts, fantastic figures and excellent playability. Perhaps the greatest indication that I really like the set is my inclination to reposition it and pose the figures. It's just itching to be played with.
Get this set. Whether or not you have any interest in The Lone Ranger, this is a great representation of a classic mode of transportation and it works great as both a display piece and a play piece.
First and foremost, I'm extremely impressed with the minifigures; the Red Harrington and Tonto figures are particularly good. But it's not just about the minifigures - the stagecoach itself looks genuinely good I think, and there's undoubted play value here for the younger LEGO fan.
The Stagecoach Escape is a great set, and it's destined to be one of my favorites of any of the Western themes. Despite the oversized scale, the coach looks awesome, and it's highly playable. The minifigs are great, and easily recycled into more generic Western characters, and there are some good parts to boot. You can't go wrong with this set.
