This LEGO DUPLO Town Farmers' Market 10867 Building Kit is perfect for a toddler because I find it is easy for the child to build things because of the size of the DUPLO pieces. Our granddaughter's little fingers can readily handle the DUPLO pieces and we don't have to worry about her swallowing the pieces. She gets very excited that she can put things together and then use them, This has to be good for her motor and cognitive development because it isn't just another toy that "does something" while the child looks at it. There is a sort of cause and effect as our granddaughter pieces things together. She got pretty excited when she first put the "Bug" car together and pushed it. Of course, you get a whole Farmer's Market with people and produce and that is fun as well. I have taken pictures of some of the pieces so you can see their large and safe size and see the car that got our granddaughter so excited.
