I like how the designer capture the essence of this whole building design and present it in our favourite LEGO bricks. Even though the gradual curves are not captured perfectly for the three towers, but the overall appeal is very nicely done up and it made as a fine masterpiece to placed in a display cabinet. Not to mention, that I am proud to see a Singapore building landmark being made into my favourite toy hobby, LEGO and to showcase this icon to the global scene.

I feel it was a good call to avoid curved elements for the most part. As with all LEGO microscale, you need to accept it's not a scale model. Using rectilinear elements to suggest curves helps the viewer remember that, but indeed the sweeping vertical curves of the original towers are somewhat lost in a model this small. So, not the most realistic model, but an attractive one in its own right with yet another interesting build from Rok Kobe.

In TLGs words: "LEGO Architecture is about celebrating great architecture and historical landmarks that we, as a people, have emotional connections to". I have no connection with this particular building and just didn't get into this set. I've never been to Singapore, and perhaps if I'd actually visited this hotel I'd feel differently. However, I've been to the Sydney Opera House many times but am not really attached to that Architecture set either. I guess that anyone collecting Architecture sets will probably want to get this one too, and given its limited edition nature the resale value will probably soar in the future. It's just not for me.

I have nothing negative to say about the model itself. The only negative thing about it is how it's being marketed. There are LEGO Architecture fans across the world but many outside of Asia will struggle to get hold if it, and that's a shame because it's a great model.
