Hours of playtime with one small kit. My son put this together and then pulled it apart to make other things. Bonus: we got to have a discussion about what Thanksgiving is all about.
I say it took an hour to build, but I was watching television. A nice set. Good play quality. Many pieces can interchange. The scarecrow can have green or yellow arms, and you can easily change the head's top piece to any extra hat you have. Extra single leaves can be added to the tree so it has different colored leaves, or can be placed on the ground as fallen leaves. I added a single brown round to the 2nd bird's neck to give it some height. This set may end up in front of the TV until the, holiday is over.
I think this is another delightful little set, and perfect for display in an office. I really enjoy the brick built birds, and like the trend the vignettes are taking with a little story being told on the back of the box. For the price (133 pieces, $9.99, 9.99€, £8.49) and some of the relatively rare pieces, I think it's worth picking up, like the rest of the vignettes this year.
The finished set is a very satisfying collection of small builds. Each of the models fits around a classic fall harvest theme. Though there are no fancy techniques being used here, it was still fun to put together and I particularly enjoyed the brick-built birds. As usual, the seasonal vignette sets don't fail to please. Even if you don't want one on your mantle, the price alone (7.5¢ per piece) should justify picking up this one!
