Naida Riverheart is a Water Elf with magical water powers, and this set gives kids everything they need to play out Nadia's magical trip to the spa, where she finds the map with the help of the dolphin, Delphia.
I couldn't really find anything that I really disliked about this set, and I hope that you will be brave enough to embrace and enter the wonderful world of LEGO Elves. Don't let the girly tones fool you, this set is a great starting point to set you on a journey to discover the colourful characters (and parts) that are the hallmark of Elves.
We bought this set as a Christmas gift for our 9 year old daughter. She received a similar set for her birthday and fell in love! She has not seen this yet, but from what I can tell from box, she will LOVE IT! So beautiful and whimsical! Perfect little playset for a little girl! Arrived quicker than expected as well (I always love that)!!
I always knew I wanted the parts from these Elves sets for my own building projects, but the fact that I really like how this set stands by itself has surprised me. Having built this set without much knowledge of the accompanying story to the theme, I can't wait to find out how this scene fits in overall and I'm looking forward to discovering the mythology of the world of Elvendale as much as I am keen to discover the multitude of exciting new parts the Elves sets contain!
Compared to the other Elves sets, the cool colors and creature comforts of Naida's Spa Secret create an atmosphere of rest and relaxation. Indeed, apart from the bakery, this is the set I've seen criticized most for its perceived “girliness". But I think most adults would understand that after a long day of activity, sometimes a relaxing bath or spa treatment can be just what the doctor ordered. And the fact that the set contains a less adventure-driven play scenario than the other sets doesn't make it boring by any stretch of the imagination. This set is a fantastic mid-sized build with an excellent selection of parts that no Elves or general fantasy fan should be without.
