This is a fantastic model - lots of fun and very functional. I bought the electric motor functions set also and added that, which makes the pneumatic system run automatically and adds two very bright lights to the cab. Arguably it could have shipped with the electric motor set included, but that would probably have bumped the price up into a bracket that would have made it less attractive, and really it is great without it.I've seen side-by-side comparisons with other pneumatic digger sets (and I have the large AROCS truck myself with a digger) and this one is tougher and generally better at picking stuff up. I brought it into work to show the kids in my clinic (I'm a pediatrician) and they were all amazed. more less

Kids who are fans of construction systems will appreciate the complexity of the model as well as the discovery of how this vehicle works as they build it. Once constructed, it looks impressive for display and has a lot of other features that can make it fun to play with. more less

In summary, this is a cracking set. Unlike the enormous Bucket Wheel Excavator it won't be difficult to display, it represents great value for money and some nice opportunities for tinkering. more less

Considering its affordable price, this is a very good set. The license hardly plays any role and you also get just about every pneumatic piece there currently is on the market. This is a recommendable set, yet it has quite some flaws that ask for (AFOL) improvement. more less

I have fond memories of playing with my childhood pneumatic Technic set, so I enjoy seeing these types of builds. I'd love to see something other than construction vehicles use them though! The actual model works well and is a very true reproduction of the Volvo machinery I could find on Google. There are plenty of features to play with. The optional Power Functions adds an extra level of functionality at no extra cost which I think is great - how many Technic fans don't already have motors? more less
