They're lego's, what's not to love about them. Put it together with my kid and we both love how it looks while he loves the countless hours of play and creativity that he gets from the set.
Kids are really going to like that they can build this LEGO set in two different ways. Each model has lots of fun elements that allow kids to play out everyday automotive adventures, from making a pit stop on a road trip or fixing up a car, for instance. And the amount of detail on each model is really impressive, too. If you look inside the gas station, for example, you'll find a mini LEGO set for sale in the shop. This set provides lots of opportunities for creative building and imaginative roleplay.
Was very excited about the prospect of being able to buy a Lego service station. But once I arrived home and built the set, I was quickly unimpressed with the set. For the price there really isn't that many special pieces in the set at all. Pros: Service station does have some interior decoration Service pumps are double sided Road sweeper is nice looking Able to build 2 ways service station/ garage Cons: Not very large Not many special pieces Tow truck is not very impressive
I really do like this set, but it is too expensive for what you actually get. You are paying $0.21 per brick. If you divide the total cost by the amount of time it takes to build, you are paying $0.69 per minute of fun. These numbers are high when comparing this with other sets. The build is nice, the main drawbacks for me being the open rear wall, the incomplete fueling area, and a questionable pizza parlour. The Minifigures are nothing special, but are nice, normal additions to a LEGO city. Do I recommend this set? Not at full price. Wait for at least a 20% off sale.
60132 Service Station is a good effort from LEGO to mix the good old Octan brand with the nostalgic vibe of a service station that is unfortunately held back by a very expensive price tag.
