This is a really fun Batman Movie Lego kit. At this time, this kit is the only way to get the Batman minifigure with rigid batwings – something that makes the kit unique. You also get the Scarecrow minifigure along with his gyro-copter.It is a perfect little set for my four year old grandson to play with. He is obsessed with Lego Batman and wants to come to our house to play with all of the Legos that we have. With this kit, he can wage an epic battle between Batman and Scarecrow (which Batman always wins, of course.) It is so much fun, we bought another one of these kits for him to play with at home. He's too young to build the kit completely by himself but he was also do to so with some guidance and help. So far, he can rebuild what gets “destroyed" during the battles.
The LEGO Batman Movie Scarecrow Fearful Face-off (70913) is a decent set that has some very nice play features. The Gyro-Copter has the swooshability paired with the bomb dropping feature that makes it a great build.
Took the long way back home from the beach with my son through the shopping mall and found this little gem. I had been looking at it before, but the price was a little too high, given what you get if - let's say - you buy one of the city starter sets. Both me and my son are big fans of minifigs, and since this set just contains two - even though they're well done - minifigs compared to 3-4 in the starter sets, we had taken it out of the shelves before but also been putting it back in favor for another, cheaper yet more populated set. This time, however, a bargain at 10 €, we bought it (+ another identical set for as a back up for someone's future birthday party). We enjoyed building it, though my 4 yo had a hard time building the minor details, but with a little help we could soon start playing. The helicopter was sturdier than I initially thought it would be, and survived a couple of collisions. The exploding piece of machinery was a hit with my son, who enjoyed placing Scarecrow on top of it before pressing the button. In all a very nice set, and especially at discount price.
The two minifigures are buildable, and cool with printed chest pieces, and double sided faces for switching out their facial expressions. Fans will be happy to finally get the Scarecrow, as well as this cool Batman with wings.
In terms of a 141-piece set with two minifigures, 70913 Scarecrow Fearful Face-off provides a strong and accessible build, a great looking main vehicle and bat-tool, and an exclusive Scarecrow design worth adding to the collection.
This is a pretty good set. I still think that 70900 Joker's Balloon Escape is better, but this is not bad by any means. There are some problems with it though: no 3D belt makes Batman look out of place, the Gotham Energy Facility build is nothing special and does not connect to other builds, and the U.S. price feels too high.
The modified Batman is not entirely ideal and I wish there could be more to the Gotham Energy build, but overall you get your money's worth. The Scarecrow minifigure and related elements solidify this set as one of my favorites within the $20 and below price point for The LEGO Batman Movie! I highly recommend it.
