Fans will love seeing their favorite elements and characters from the video game brought to life in such an interactive way. This is more than just building out scenes from the game. The built-in technology really allows fans to play out what they've seen on screen, and it'll be really cool to see how LEGO Mario reacts and responds with each move.

I am very happy with the character packs, I just wish I got a third different one (don't get me started on my hatred of blind bags!). The models look great and fit seemlessly into existing Marios sets you may have. And the fact that they're only $5 is so impressive to me. That's the same price as recent Collectible Minifigures which shows just how inflated they are.
As blind bags, they are colourful, collectable and appealing. Especially so, I suspect, if you're familiar with the creatures' appearances in the games.
Although the various expansion sets feature a number of different enemies, they do lack a little variety. So it's nice to be able to expand King Koopa's forces with these additional Character Packs. I like that they all come on little display plates, which not only makes them easy to connect to the larger sets but also makes them great for display. Some of the characters look better than others, I definitely like the ocean-based characters the most, as they are the most varied and fun looking.
Those who are collecting LEGO Super Mario may as well dive into 71361 Character Packs, as they offer better value for money than the actual sets. Containing a well-designed character and extra pieces, they add something to the game for a low price.
