I think this is one of the best deals out there. Both these ships are really well designed and the mini figures are top of the line! Getting Kylo in a set this inexpensive was a huge bonus!
Microfighters have been released for the last few years, but double-packs are a new concept that I think is really good. These ships are fun, easy builds but the inclusion of two separate instructions for each is new and will be popular among Lego fans, as two people can build at the same time. Even at this scale both the A-Wing and TIE Silencer are accurate and identifiable. Both have flick missiles for added playability. The maintenance station is a nice bonus and bulks out the set a bit more. Tallissan Lintra is the A-Wing pilot, recognisable by her detailed helmet and printed torso. However a huge draw of this set is that it's the cheapest to include Kylo Ren. It's the same minifigure that comes with the TIE Silencer, and he has detailed printing and a reversible head-piece. This is a great new idea in the Microfighters range but also a way to get exclusive minifigures.
These Disney Star Wars Microfighter sets are perfect smaller projects for the fan and collector of the genre.
I'm quite disappointed in this set. The two minifigures included are good but there are too few figures included, especially considering the $20 USD price point. The builds themselves look pretty bad, being way too bulky compared to the source material. Playability is okay but the price is not. I feel these microfighters are just generally priced too high to excel.
75196 A-wing vs. TIE Silencer Microfighters seems certain to prove extremely popular and I definitely think it is worthy of such excitement. Both minifigures look marvellous and seeing Kylo Ren in a set of this size is a delight, even though his cape is absent. Tallie Lintra is only available here so is also very appealing, especially given the consistently high standard of LEGO Rebel and Resistance pilot minifigures.
