The figures in this set are great. The 332nd troopers and Ashoka are just what we wanted and it's nice Lego acknowledged season 7 of the clone wars. The 2 droids are a nice addition as well. The AAT, while a little inaccurate is a fun build and can fit 2 droids. The only thing is the cannon is super long, which may bother some people. The value for money is meh, 287 pieces for 40$ isn't great, but since it has exclusive figs and big pieces I suppose it's fine. Overall this is a decent set, and if it were 5-10$ cheaper it would have been so much better.
75283 Armored Assault Tank had greater potential to stand alongside 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers as an instantly desirable and highly collectible LEGO Star Wars set. Its strengths do make it an unmissable addition to many a collection, but they do not account for its weaknesses quite as well as 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers does.
The first standard-scale AAT in five years (the first in this color scheme in twelve years) is likely to be welcomed by LEGO Star Wars collectors who've begun collecting more recently. It's a well-designed model and a fun build. But the inclusion of two stunning minifigures based on characters in the final, powerful season of Clone Wars at a relatively low price point make this an absolute must-buy for anybody who shares my view that Ahsoka is one of the most compelling and ultimately intriguing characters to appear in the Star Wars universe.
75283 Armoured Assault Tank (AAT) certainly introduces some improvements over previous models of the AAT, including the shaping around the cockpit and the scale beside minifigures. However, the proportions between the laser cannon turret and the body section look awkward. Both components are individually attractive but they appear incompatible in my opinion.
