Excellent add on to the Christmas train. It presents very well under the Christmas Tree.
Bought this to go with my Christmas Train set that I got last year. Looks great and fun to build with my Granddaughter.
The station is somewhat small as I would have preferred a slightly larger one with more details. In its current form, there's not much playability with the station but the other items that are with the set are the opposite. The bus has a vintage style look that I really like although there are some issues with it that can't be fixed without modifications.

It is difficult for a relatively small set like this to include more than one major design element without sacrificing details in the main structure. The interior includes modest detailing at the ticket counter and barista stand, but both the interior and loading platform feel cramped—There isn't enough space for a minifigure to actually walk around the front entrance to reach the loading platform! While the railroad crossing adds a little atmosphere, and the vintage bus is well designed, the set would have been stronger if more of the attention was placed on the Train Station itself.
It may not seem like as an elaborate set has some of the previous Winter Village sets, but there is some really great built techniques used across the build. Especially the angled clock tower and doorway, which acts as the sets focal point. Although the set has been created to be enhanced with the addition of last years Holiday Train set, it's still a nice set in its own right. Sure it is definitely complimented with the train but don't be put off if you don't already own it or aren't planning on picking it up.
Both the bus and station ooze character and charm. It's a really enjoyable (but short) build, and a great addition to a Winter Village if you already have the Train. However, if you never bought into the Train set, there's little reason to get this. I feel it's overpriced in the UK at least, and the rear does seem a tad unfinished. If you can accept those irritations, then I suspect you'll enjoy it as much as I have.
The LEGO 10259 set is a wonderful addition to your other wintry collections. Even if you don't have any other sets, it's a start! The LEGO Winter Village station is 19cm high, 28cm long and 14cm deep, making for a relatively small but fun little scenery to play with.
A train station was an obvious choice after the train, but it is very uncommon for a LEGO set to be an add-on to another set, even though this is not explicitly implied. All things considered, most notably the size and price the winter village sets need to fit into, I think dividing the train and station into separate sets was a brave move and the only way to achieve substantial builds. The part inventory seems quite generous. Train fans are sure to make use of the 4 pieces of straight track. The set comes with two rather expensive and nowadays uncommon pine trees and a bunch of other great pieces in nice colours.
Overall, 10259 Winter Village Station is a charming holiday set that feels like it could have been just a little bit better. Though demand may be less for fans who don't also have the train, the station alone can serve as an oversized vignette in any winter village. So make yourself a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy building!
