Very easy build but did not lack in a beautiful build! Nice addition to my other Architecture builds. I really like the blue colors.
Very nice little set. Pretty good vibe of what Sydney actually feels like in terms of the architecture, I really like this.
The included booklet has easy to follow instructions plus a history of Sydney, and the buildings and landmarks featured in the set. Whether you have been to Sydney, or have just seen the popular buildings and sites in pictures, it would be fun to recreate the scene with an inspirational skyline setting especially if you are into architecture, and design. A base with a Sydney nameplate is also included for the buildings to be displayed together. This will keep the structures intact, and look great in an office or living room.
This is a really fun set, and I think that it makes for a great introductory set to the Architecture Skyline range. Even if you don't have much exposure to the Architecture theme, I can readily recommend it as a different (but good) LEGO experience if you're hungry for something other than typical sets. It also helps that I feel that the price is quite affordable, for what you get.
The completed model is actually pretty satisfying, especially given the lower price point. The main reason for the warmer response to the finished model comes from spending time in the city, and learning that the model does an above average job of evoking the feel of the city.
As an Australian I am excited to see this set appear, and while I may prefer Melbourne as a city to live in, I cannot deny that the buildings chosen for this set are unlike anything elsewhere in the world (with the possible exception of Sydney Tower). I enjoyed the build, and there was sufficient variation in the techniques used in putting the different buildings together to keep me interested.
It would be easy to overlook 21032 Sydney given the superior size of the other sets in this wave but it is actually my favourite of the three! The construction techniques are not hugely advanced but the varied architectural styles and colours look brilliant in relation to some of the earlier Skylines sets which have been dominated by single colour blocks or design features. This set suffers from no such issues and includes a diverse range of buildings which combine to present a delightful display model.
