The LEGO Art sets will be perfect for display in your home gallery. Even the instructions have a coffee table book quality to them. We didn't really mind it taking so long because the whole experience was actually quite relaxing. If you're an art lover and a LEGO fan, you'll really enjoy building a work of art using traditional LEGO bricks and circular pieces.
These sets are terrific. Bought all four anticipating that they would soon be out of stock and they soon were (isn't everything these days). Always seemed perfectly clear to me that each set would make only one portrait, you just chose which portrait it would be. Added advantage is that there are always dots left over. By the time I make all four Beatles, I'll have quite a collection of colored dots. So far I've only completed Ringo and I'm really pleased how good it looks. Larger than I anticipated and the colors really pop out at you. A fabulous example of pointilism. The build isn't difficult, but you need to pay attention -- a great activity for those of us that are more or less shut in these days. Great sets.
The LEGO ART sets are an interesting addition to the LEGO product range. They are a vastly different build experience to any other LEGO sets, which may appeal beyond traditional LEGO fans. The use of pop culture icons such as The Beatles and Marilyn Monroe extends that appeal to fans of The Beatles, Monroe and Warhol. The build is something you can do whilst watching a movie or better still as you listen to the exclusively created ‘soundtracks'.
