My granddaughter just loves Frozen, like most little girls. I got this for her in the hopes that her brother, who loves Legos would help her build it, which he did! She was thrilled with it. Even though the pieces are tiny and it takes some time and patience to build it, the bags are numbered according to the instruction book. The instruction book is a nice size, with colored pics and detailed instructions. They tell you what bag is needed and the pieces are easy to find. You can build each section separately. My granddaughter is just 3, but with the help of her 7 year old brother, and myself, we built the treehouse for her. It had so many details of flowers, and beds and just a lot of detail that aren't in other kinds of sets. She played with it for a long time and used her Frozen figurines that she had already to do some imaginative play. She has been able to take apart and put together some of the areas that aren't too large. This set is kept on her dresser, and she never wants it taken apart, so she says! She definitely loves anything with the Frozen theme.
Both of these sets have a lot of fun detail that bring the scenes from the movie to life. Kids will have fun collecting the new Frozen 2 mini-doll figures and building out favorite scenes just like they saw in the movie. These will definitely inspire a lot of imaginative play.
It's a good looking model. Especially the Autumn leaves are well appriciated. The build itself is okay. Not too complicated, but not really boring either. A good way to pass some time. The set offers some play features. A dissapointment is the zip line. The grappling hook won't hold onto the line, so as soon as the MiniDoll is at the end, he/she will fall off. It's also not possible to leave him/her hanging somewhere in the middle. In respect of design, it's hard to say if it's a good representation of the movie, as we haven't seen it yet.
If you like building trees, this set will add a few more fall colored leaves to your collection. The magenta and bright light orange may not be the most realistic fall colors, but they work well together. And if you like building treehouses, this set give you some nice new pieces to use for creating rooms within the tree.
