It's good for kids, has a nice visual design and color scheme, and a good selection of parts. With that said, when compared to other small sets like 42102, though, it's not quite as engaging, which keeps it from the upper tier.
This is an excellent looking model for its size and part count. It's a little bit of a shame that its sole function isn't too viable when actually airborne, but it's a nicely designed set on the whole and aircraft fans will find it a very enjoyable mini build.
It's a nice-looking model, even without the stickers and I'm sure kids will have hours of fun swooshing it around the room. Being Technic, it's particularly suited to that as it's less likely to fall apart while doing so than a System model. For AFOLs, other than the teal parts which will be useful to add to 51515 Robot Inventor, there's not much to recommend it.
These are great little sets. They don't try to do too much, and there's nothing overly complicated here — indeed the most frustrating part of the build would be applying the stickers, if you chose to. Nevertheless they include some neat mechanical functions that serve as a great introduction to Technic for young builders.
The rear wheel feels a little flimsy, and the tyre came off a couple of times. I suppose the fact that it is off-centre doesn't help. But it seeems that was just because it wasn't put on straight and it perorms fine if you don't put a lot of pressure on it.
