D.Va & Reinhardt

I was super excited to get this LEGO set when I heard that they'd be making an Overwatch D.VA mech but I was sad that it was part of a 2 pack like set for more than I wanted to pay ($40) but both are great sets. I ended up preordering it as soon it became available on Amazon. I just got the set in a few days ago and I enjoyed putting both of them together. The 2 took an hour to assemble each. Now after buying it and seeing that it's now $33 on Amazon and that my local Walmart also has it for $32, it feels like I ended up paying for the item with S&H fees on top even though I'm a Prime member. I doubt I'd get a price match for this but it be nice. more less

Like a lot of the other reviews have stated the D.Va mech is a fantastic build. It looks great and contains a few clever build ideas. D.Va herself is my favorite Overwatch minifigure so far (missing watchpoint). With her two facial expressions and suit design. As the other reviews have stated the Reinhardt build is a bit bland. Once built it looks less impressive beside D.Va. The Reinhardt minifigure looks well with the helmet on but the hair version is lacking something. I would recommend this set based on D.Va alone. more less

If you're a fan of D.Va and Reinhardt or mechs in general, this set will hit the spot for you. You get two great minifigs and lots of useful new parts for a fairly low price. I just wish Reinhardt would have been a bit better designed and more poseable. I guess that "precision German engineering" that he's always talking about is not what it's cracked up to be. Still, a fun set and a great addition to any Overwatch collection. more less

If you are an Overwatch fan, you will probably need this set for the Minifigures. If you are a Mech Builder, you will probably look for a way to articulate the knees. If you are an AFOL starting out in the world of mech building, there are interesting techniques used for both models, with lots of variety: it certainly doesn't feel like you are building two of the same model. more less

While the Overwatch theme is primarily targeted at players of the game, I think there's a lot here for non-Overwatch fans to enjoy. If you have younger kids, I think he or she will be delighted to have two mechs to play around with, as they both have very good articulation and pretty interesting minifigures. If you're an Overwatch fan, I would make this your first set to pickup as you'll absolutely not regret it at all. more less

I felt that Reinhardt was the weaker of the two mechs due to the movement (or lack of movement) in his limbs as he has no knees, a fixed flexion deformity of his elbows and very wide hips, with all the resultant issues I mentioned. Getting those two new shoulder pauldron Design Element 5x5x3 made up for this to some extent but he is not a character I would keep built. D.Va is definitely more accurate to her in-game mech plus it is a more aesthetically pleasing final build. The minifigure's method of entering her mech is not the most dignified but she can easily be 'shoved into the box' as my nearly-3 year old managed to do it. There's a great supply of Light Purple curves and slopes plus those new Transparent Green elements making this a nice little parts pack with a bubblegum-blowing minifigure bonus too. more less

The pair provide a varied build experience and models that are full of character while still retaining a tactile and playable feel. Conventional Overwatch wisdom suggests a team is not complete without at least two tanks. In this case, the same can be said of your LEGO Overwatch collection – and the quality of 75973 D.Va & Reinhardt means they virtually select themselves. more less

75973 D.Va & Reinhardt is undoubtedly my favourite of the brand new Overwatch sets! D.Va's mech looks absolutely fantastic, featuring numerous impressive details from the video game and wonderful articulation. In addition, the minifigure fits inside neatly and her vehicle incorporates many interesting pieces alongside a slew of elements which have not been produced in pink before. more less

Both builds stand about the same height and are great as a pair for a playset. It was a good decision to include these as a duo, which means double the fun for all. At first glance, I didn't think that the part could do justice to the characters, but I must say they turned out impressive. The pink parts provided a great and fun contrast to the grey of Reinhardt that eventually grew on me. Though the stickers were a pain, it was well worth it to bring out the individuality of each character to counter the low part count. more less

I was pretty excited for the LEGO Overwatch D.Va & Reinhardt (75973) set and after building it, it is currently my favorite set out of the initial wave. I am kind of biased since D.Va is my favorite tank character. The build uses a lot of new pieces in pink and it is a good representation of the mech. I also like Reinhardt but not to the extent as D.Va. His armor is bulky and I do like how his minifigure is incorporated into the build itself for his head. more less
