Regardless of any minor gripes I may have, the set is great. I love the tree and how big it turns out to be. The minifigures and Wargs and the main reason to pick this set up. As of right now this is the only set that contains the Wargs and they are awesome.
Overall, this 400 piece Attack of the Wargs set is worth every penny. The minifigs are exclusive to the set and you get some great looking ones like Thorin and Yazneg. The tree is fairly large with lots of little details. The main attraction and possibly the best part of the set are the Warg pieces. Without reading the book or watching the movie, as of this writing, you can kind of see what is happening in the story. I would recommend picking up this medium priced set.
Even though I'd have fewer reservations recommending it if Attack of the Wargs were $5 or $10 cheaper, the set's excellent creatures, some nice minifigs, and a really fun build make this a solid buy even at full price. This is also the only set with wargs and Thorin in it so far, and it does have a lot of great parts for landscaping.
I'd still buy it and I did, twice. The wargs are great, the parts are nice and I know the figs would be of great use to some.
