Parisian Restaurant

It's been a week since I've finished building this set and my jaw is still dropping at the level of detail. Having built a majority of the modular buildings and having enjoyed building each, this one is hands down my favorite so far and I can only imagine Lego will continue to set the bar from here, but as this review's title states, this set is near perfect. An absolutely beautiful addition to any collection and a treat for anyone of any age. I give my highest recommendation of this set! more less

When 10243 Parisian Restaurant is released in January 2014, drive to your local LEGO store or head on over to their online store and purchase yourself at least one as it is an excellent set to build, own, play with, and look at. The culmination of colors, attention to detail, and features are all wonderful and should complement anyone's LEGO collection. more less

For adults, the set is flat out awesome. I think the design is topnotch - quite honestly it's probably the best designed set from any LEGO set that I've ever built. I would have liked to have seen one more minifigure included - you get a chef, waiter, two patrons (a guy proposing to his girlfriend), and one lad who is presumably the artist. I think it would have been nice to have one more patron so that you could make use of both the indoor and outdoor seating (and make the waiter work a bit more)! Other than that minor quibble, this set is awesome and comes highly, highly recommended! more less

It's a modular, one of the more sought after ones that's affordable (unless you're in the money for the first few), and is an absolutely beautiful addition to any collection, even if you've never had any of the other modulars before. If you're planning on using it just for parts, again, it's a ripper, with all the olive green, not even counting the other elements included. more less

As I said at the start, the level of detail is astonishing and you'll get immense pleasure from building it and seeing it all come together. It's such a fantastic model and build that I'm running out of superlatives to describe it. more less

There are so many little details in this set to impress you. A final example - even though the main floor is tiled, there are single studs left here and there to allow the minifigs to stand easily. It was a pure joy to build and discover all these details in the process. more less
