It wasn't going to be long before the Brick Headz line included Star Wars characters. I think Captain Phasma is better in person than in the product photos. The build is quick and easy but there's a surprising amount of detail even on a small build. There are printed pieces on her helmet and torso to add movie accuracy and Phasma's cape has it's distinctive red edging. Overall the figure looks quite good but the bottom of the helmet looks a bit too bulky when compared to the top, plus I think Phasma's blaster is too small. Also Captain Phasma has chrome armour and Lego pieces only come in grey so the colour is disappointingly dull. This isn't the best of the Brick Headz but if you're a Star Wars fan, especially if you're a Phasma fan, then this is a good set to build whilst we wait for The Last Jedi.
This Captain Phasma Brickheadz is a great little collectible item that is well worth picking up for Star Wars fans, I'm hooked on these and love the style, especially at the price point, which makes it very good value.
This is super cute. I got it for my husband for his birthday and he loves it.
On the whole I found this to be a far more satisfying build and realised how much punch these tiny models can bring upon completion. For something so small, it does feel quite chunky to hold and I think once you stand it next to another BrickHeadz build you start to see the appeal as a collector as they do look great together. It's a shame the colour finish couldn't be a true chrome version, but the bluish grey here works well enough to differentiate between this and a normal Stormtrooper.
The absence of silver armour is a little disappointing but light bluish grey is a surprisingly effective substitute in my opinion, especially given the splashes of metallic silver printing. It is also unfortunate that the helmet looks awkward from certain angles, although I think this is exaggerated by some of the official images. This set is definitely a welcome addition to my BrickHeadz collection and I look forward to seeing what the Star Wars range offers next.
I really like the finished model. The silver metallic printing ties back to Phasma's chrome armor and the red piping effect on the cape is just perfect. The weakest part of the model is the back of the helmet, where the flat tiles look a bit chunky. If you're a Captain Phasma fan, the model won't let you down. She's already on my display shelf. Beyond that, this set is a fine little parts pack (8¢ per piece) with a nice selection of snot bricks, tiles and curved slopes that should especially appeal to space builders.
