If you're looking for a small, cheap, fun set with nice pieces and 3 great minifigures, then buy this thing now! Pros: Minifigures: all 3 are excellent! Johnny Thunder reference pieces: coffin thing is very VERY nice as well as the printed map and sandwich can be used with other sets: http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Museum-Break-in-60008s Cons: Scooby Doo figure was a little disappointing: no movement other than the head. I give this set a 9.8/10
So cute. Bought for my almost 3 year old daughter. Don't recommend it for all kids this age but besides being a little destructive sometimes still she doesn't put things in her mouth and loves Scooby doo and legos. So I decided to buy it and just glue the pieces together lol. This one only takes maybe 15 minutes to put together. She absolutely loves it and I'm getting the mystery machine for her birthday.
Really, this was a great Scooby Doo set, a good gateway to wanting more from the line… and not as great of a price. This is every inch a $13 set, and a good one at that, which gives you some basic figures, good stickers, and decent parts. I'm going to ding it a point for being $14.99, but it still stands as a good four out of five. You don't have to like the price, but it's hard not to like the set.
Fans of Scooby-Doo will like seeing favorite characters in minifigure form and playing out their own mystery storylines. The set is a little small, and while fun on its own, it makes a nice addition to some of the other LEGO Scooby-Doo sets.
As far as little sets go, I like this one. Like I said before, I am going to keep it as is and incorporate it as an exhibit in a future custom museum. The cost per brick, and the cost per minute of build time are not that great. But, the Mummy Minifigure is a lot of fun.
To me, the minifigures included and the set itself are equally matched and nothing much stands out for either. I do like the Mummy minifigure and the museum exhibit as a whole looks pretty neat. It's funny that Scooby and Shaggy are able to nab Dr. Najib by looking for food.
Definitely a strong start to the theme and while I would have preferred a continuation of the Monster Fighters theme, this is a good substitute to keep me happy and definitely shows great promise for a long running theme.
