This is a great set. I am not a fan of Harry Potter, I haven't watched the movies or read the books. I got this set on clearance and after I built it I loved it. This set makes me want to buy the other hogwarts expansions even though I am not a fan of the series. This is a wonderful display piece and looks even better with the other sets. The interior is a bit lacking, some of the rooms felt a bit empty, but I think the exterior more than makes up for it. I only gave the value a 4 because for $90 the price per piece is good its just the interior is a bit lacking. The figures are overall pretty good but could have definitely used leg printing on some of them. A good pick up if you can find it a little cheaper.
With so many new-for-2019 minifigures in this lineup, Harry Potter and LEGO fans will surely want to collect, build, and play with all of these sets. Fans will also really like the detail on each set that helps bring to life the moments from the movies. These look great on display but they also have a lot of playability for kids who want to imagine their own magical stories.
This is a really gorgeous set. The interiors are so genius! I do wish the DADA classroom was bigger and that the chalk board could be flipped to have a picture of the boggart wardrobe.
With 922 pieces, the set sits about where we'd expect for its price point, though none of the non-printed pieces are unique to this set. Ultimately, this is a good set, but except for the figures it doesn't stand out among the recent Harry Potter sets in the way the Great Hall did. I'll enjoy having it my collection, but it's not one to elicit oohs and aahs.
This set fulfilled my expectations. It was a nice build, nothing groundbreaking but some really well thought-out touches. And playability is great.
