I really like this set and ship. I've been a long time fan of the Delta-7 and was both excited and worried about how the set would turn out, however after assembling it (twice now!) I can say pretty confidently that despite it's fairly small flaws, it's a fantastic looking set and I very much enjoy having it on display. I would highly recommend getting it while it's on sale. At full price it may be a tougher decision if you're really attentive to parts/price.

OMG, this was the only thing our younger son wanted for Christmas when he was 5. We thought he was too young for 'violent Star Wars toys,' but we got his brother the exact A-wing or Interceptor set he wanted. My younger son is now 18. We went back to the Christmas photos from that year, and my older son is gleefully playing with his set and *in EVERY photo* my younger son looks completely sad and dejected. Parental guilt off the charts! So when we found this set for a ridiculously high price, we bought it anyway, as a graduation gift, and made his day! ;-)

10215 Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter undoubtedly seems worthy of the Ultimate Collector Series, despite the comparative obscurity of its source material. This vehicle is exceptionally detailed and matches modern sets in most respects, exhibiting some interesting assembly techniques which replicate the aerodynamic profile of this distinguished starfighter. Unfortunately, the numerous qualities exhibited by this model are overshadowed by its original price. £94.99 or $99.99 seems extremely expensive for a set containing 676 pieces, especially given the absence of minifigures. Of course, the price has only increased since this model was retired.

I always loved the set and can even forgive the oversized droid head (It really is nice to look at) but the RRP was never going to work for me. It looks like even at the reduced sale price this thing is not going to be a sell out so I hope TLC learn from this.
