I hadn't had any LEGO since I was a kid, but when I saw this advertised online I was very tempted to get it so I went in store to have a look. When I saw it I knew I had to get it but was worried as it looked very complicated and was quite expensive! I decided to buy it and when I got it I was surprised as although it was quite fiddly in places and sometimes awkward to put together, I managed and the experience was very rewarding! Although it is expensive, the price is completely justified as the level of detail is superb! I was shocked at how amazingly everything worked and how true to life it was! I did struggle at times to put it together but it was worth it in the end as it is so detailed. My only complaint is that the two biggest pieces, the windscreens were both noticeably scratched in my set. I feel like they could've been better protected from scratching with other pieces as they are the biggest transparent pieces in the set! Now I have spotted the damages I won't be able to 'un-notice' them. Despite the minor complaint I think this set is awesome! It was a joy to put together and, due to its complexity, left me smiling ear-to-ear on several occasions when it all came together so perfectly! I would totally recommend this to any car enthusiast like myself and I hope they bring out more like these!
I really like this set. Maybe it's because of the colour or because, as LEGO always wishes, I had a great building experience. It's just the perfect car to make in brick form with not too many curves the designers have to struggle with, and a lot of character.
10265 Ford Mustang is a spectacular set. It provides an enjoyable building experience and the model looks absolutely magnificent when completed, capturing almost every aspect of the original car. I love its dark blue colour scheme with racing stripes while both the engine bay and interior look incredibly realistic too, demonstrating extraordinary attention to detail.
Having built all of the last few years Creator Expert Vehicles, I think this is my favourite. It may not have the fun gadgety features of the Aston Martin or the cute story connected elements of the London Bus, but the finished build looks amazing. The lines of the Mustang have been captured amazingly well, something many complained about regarding the Aston Martin. Each element of the real world car is present in the brick-built version.
The LEGO Creator Expert 10265 Ford Mustang is an excellent set. The colour is phenomenal and the size of the completed model is perfect for display or play, and the experience of building, while only slightly laborious in some internal complex parts, is on the whole an excellent balance of intelligent LEGO design and an authentic Ford Mustang experience.
I won't beat around the bush: I think this is the best Creator Expert vehicle yet. Unlike the Aston Martin which struggled to transmit its subtle curves into the brick (though an admirable attempt was made), the muscle car's lines translate very well into the palette of bricks and slopes.
