My 4 year old son was thrilled to receive this as a birthday gift, and I was happy because I was not worried about my younger son (almost 2) eating any of the pieces and choking on them like I would a regular Lego set. My son LOVE buses (usually school buses) and loves his Lego bus he now has and loved to play with this, and always wants mommy to put on the song "The Wheels on the Bus" while he plays. I would say it would be a good gift for an typical bus/truck/car loving little boy (or girl) aged 2-5, and is really great if they have younger siblings. Now my only problem is being driven insane by the wheels on the bus song!

This is a cute little building set that will engage preschoolers in imaginative play and storytelling. It will be especially fun for kids who are getting ready to start school to play out a school and bus-riding scene with this set. The Duplo bricks are nice and chunky to make it easy for small hands to build and play.
