Just bought this set for my two year old son- it's his first Lego set and first Lego building experience. He absolutely loved it. Gave it to him yesterday afternoon and this morning it was the first thing he grabbed to play with during breakfast. You can really see him using his imagination with this set, which is great that its fun for me (and him) while allowing him to develop mentally.

somewhat expensive for what you get vs. other Duplo sets and the car is bigger scale than many of the other Duplo vehicles/cars. not sure they they do that.

This set helps introduce preschoolers to basic building skills and then engage in imaginative play. Kids can have their driver make repairs to the engine with the wrench, practice weaving through the cones and speed off to collect their trophy. While there aren't many pieces in this set, it's a fun theme and can be combined with other LEGO Duplo sets for more building options.
