My 4.5 year old son was able to put this together with a little bit of help. He loves the Lightening McQueen car, the launching portion is less entertaining. It doesn't push the car very well. Overall, it is a cute little set. I see my son playing with the car portion more than anything, had I known that the launcher portion would not work very well I probably would have put my money toward the larger set that included other "cars" vehicles.

This playset brings the racing world of Disney/Pixar Cars 3 to life for fans while also giving them a building set that they can build confidence with. It's a more advanced build than a DUPLO set but not too advanced for them to figure out on their own. Plus, it's great for post-build race play.

Bought this for my son and he loves it. Much like all Junior sets in easy buildability but still able to play with other sets. We have races between Lightning and my Speed Champions...lol

Lightning McQueen himself is definitely the highlight of the set for me. The printed designs look superb and it is pleasing to see exclusive versions of the character in each of the seven sets released so far. Furthermore, this inexpensive incarnation is the most recognisable as it features the traditional Rust-eze branding, unlike those found in other Cars 3 sets.
