This was a great addition to my Lego collection. I still enjoy Legos and find the Architecture sets are a great way to display places I have visited. Or maybe still need to visit. The size is great, fit on a bookshelf nicely with some other travel items. Found it easy to build and have good detail. The information booklet is also a nice read.

I was so happy when I found this piece at Barnes & Noble. The set is absolutely beautiful to look at. I love that I can use this as a decoration piece in my apartment. It's classy and doesn't feel or look like a 'toy.' I also like that the instruction booklet comes with little facts about what I am building. I enjoyed reading it. I will definitely be buying more Lego Architecture pieces. The only thing that could be improved upon is the instructions. They are a little unclear in certain places.

Ultimately, I believe that the model is not as strong as it could have been due to the scale chosen for the model. If the model were much smaller, I wouldn't be looking for elaborate applied ornamentation as it is not practical at that scale. If the model was a bit larger, it would have been easier to include a lot more sculptural detailing, better capturing both aspects of the buildings design.

This is a competent model of a well known landmark. However, as you've probably been able to tell from how little I've written about it, it's also a bit boring. Construction is mostly linear, there's no particularly clever parts usage, and nothing of note in the inventory. On the plus side it's not full of tiny 1x1 parts that need careful alignment, so building it is quick and painless.

It's undeniably a really nicely detailed model for its price point with a lotta really neat SNOT-work, especially around the top area – as much as I expressed slight horror at the amount of rocker bearings earlier, the resulting architectural detail they provide absolutely suits the model down to the ground. It's not overbearing or completely bare, it's just the right amount of detailing – it's a bit like Goldilocks, basically. It's Goldilocks greebling.
