I got this as a Christmas present, and I have to say this set is amazing in every way possible. The jungle trees are great-looking, the treetop base blends great with the surroundings and the vines on the trees and hanging from the structure give it a nice wild feeling. I can't think of much wrong with this set. 10/10!

This set brings the fun and creativity of the Minecraft video game to life because LEGO builders can create whatever type of structure they want. They can also follow the included instructions, and build the Tree House with a large waterfall and trapdoors.

This is a really good set. I wish LEGO would make more sets like this in their regular lines so we didn't have to pay a licensing fee for brick based sets. A lot of sets these days have a hollowness to them which is a turn-off. It's economical to produce and sell, but less exciting to build and play with. Another thing I really liked, this set has more abstraction in its design; a torch? Let's use an orange and yellow translucent instead of a fire piece. Leaves on a tree? Let's use plates blocks instead of a custom piece.

Looking at it from an AFOL's perspective rather than that of a Minecraft fan, it's not really a display set but to me, it's one of the more appealing Minecraft sets by virtue of its colour scheme. There are no less than 120 2xn bricks, around 120 dark orange parts, seven 8x8 and 8x16 plates and a plethora of other useful parts in earthy colours. It's therefore a great parts pack.
