We got so engrossed in this set we kind of lost track of time - it was so much fun to see the parts coming together - first as individual sections, and then as an overall piece. And the enjoyment lasts so much longer with the opportunity to rearrange the model. We've also started integrating it with some of our other LEGO Minecraft sets and characters which is proving to be awesome! We'd strongly recommend 'The Fortress' to any Minecraft or LEGO fan.
What can you say? It is Lego. A great product that lasts and they always back there products. You get what you pay for, we stick with lego brand.
The set comes with many different bricks and items, including the printed banners and every sword! 10/10, would reccomend Also goes well with the new crafting box set!
This is a fun way for Minecraft fans to get hands-on with their Minecraft adventures, building their own Minecraft world outside of the video game. They'll like seeing the pixilated look from the game represented in the figures and accessories in this set, and the ability to build the fortress in a variety of ways. The modular design also makes it easier for kids to remove and play in certain areas of the fortress.
It's not bad, per se, and from a certain perspective any Lego set fosters creativity in that it contains bricks that can be arranged in infinite ways to build incredible things. I would describe is as...mediocre, a word that has always been more impactful to me than “bad" or “awful". Mediocre is when people get too comfortable and begin to slack on what once brought them so much joy. Office work, for instance, is a perfect example of mediocrity - one starts full of inspiration and excitement for their job, and within a few years are operating at the bare minimum to succeed and fulfill the quota.
21127 is probably an important set for a LEGO Minecraft collector to have. A big, solid fortress with lots of detail and the virtue of easy, successfully-designed modularity, it looks and feels like something out of the game, which you can shape or reshape however you want. However, as the set offers little in the way of new or interesting parts - especially when you subtract Minecraft-specific elements - it's pretty horrendous as a parts pack, if that's what you're after.
