I got it from eBay cause it's retired and the whole reason is that I watched a review and he can mine so. yeah. but seriously the parrot doesn't do much but is still cool and I haven't stopped playing with the back trigger on Steve which can make him mine with his pickaxe.
We received the product faster than anticipated. My son could not put it down. It was built in 5 minutes!!

It's a pretty nice model, but for a Minecraft virgin it's hard to enjoy.
I can't get past the fact that it's all just a little bit dull. Brickheadz were often criticized as they were display pieces that couldn't be played with, and I appreciate that this goes beyond, achieving a larger format toy that can be both played and displayed. The features are quite limited though, and you'll likely need 2 of the 3 to get the most out of play.
Let's be honest, adult fans of LEGO don't always love Minecraft or the LEGO Minecraft theme. And that's OK. Not every theme needs to cater to the adults in the crowd along with its core audience of 6-12-year-olds. But we here at The Brothers Brick always advocate excellence in building, regardless of the theme. And the LEGO Minecraft Big Figs are excellent. They're amazingly accurate models, they're sturdy enough to withstand kid play, and they don't rely on any specialized elements apart from the accessories. This scale fits LEGO Minecraft perfectly. Now there's just one thing we're missing: some scale blocks to accompany them.
I think these three Minecraft sets contain some great universal pieces, although you only get the new pieces in rather small numbers. I recommend getting Steve for some good Dark Brown pieces and Alex for the Sand Green.
Perhaps the only downside of 21148 Steve BigFig with Parrot is the limited poseability, but this does match the mechanics of the actual game. If you are a fan of Minecraft then this BigFig will appeal either for its playability or as a rather geeky desk decoration – or both.
